About the Author

Seth Penricke is a writer and teacher from the Bay Area. He helped build and test the VERITAS (Very Energetic Radiation Imaging Telescope Array System) gamma-ray observatory in Mount Hopkins, Arizona, and did research on pulsar astronomy at Leiden University in the Netherlands. A former high school physics and astronomy teacher, he holds a bachelor's degree in astrophysics from Oberlin College and a master's degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
