About the Author
Richard J. Ingebretsen, MD, PhD is a clinical instructor of medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine and a professor in the department of physics at the University of Utah. He is an attending emergency room physician and practices internal medicine in Salt Lake City. He is the Director of the Wilderness Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine, on the board of Advanced Wilderness Life Support, and is the medical director of Salt Lake County Sheriff's Search and Rescue.
